The inaugural Danforth Distinguished Lecture Series is bringing nationally recognized scholars to WUSTL next week for public lectures and discussions with faculty, students and invited experts. The theme will be “Protestant Foreign Missions and Secularization in Modern America.”

Uninsured face hurdles choosing health insurance

The new federal health-care law gives millions of Americans access to medical insurance. However, choosing the right coverage — a daunting task for most people — could be even more difficult for those who never have had health insurance, according to a new study at the School of Medicine.​​

Feder named WUSTL’s managing director of private markets

Daniel E. Feder, JD, has been named managing director of private markets at Washington University Investment Management Co., the investment office for WUSTL’s endowment. His appointment is effective Dec. 2.

Dance Marathon raises $152,000 for Children’s Miracle Network hospitals

WUSTL students danced for 12 hours earlier this month to help raise money for patients at St. Louis Children’s Hospital and SSM Cardinal Glennon Children’s Medical Center. The event marked Dance Marathon’s 15th year here.

Recycle your old holiday lights at WUSTL

The WUSTL community can bring burned-out or unwanted holiday light strings to campus to be recycled. WUSTL sustainability officials are partnering with StLouisGreen.com and Operation Food Search on the initiative, which starts Saturday, Nov. 16, and runs through Jan. 12.
